Minesweeper

Reveal safe cells. Flag mines. The first click is never a mine.

  • Solo
  • Tap or keyboard
How to play
  1. Reveal every safe cell without setting off a mine. Your first reveal is always safe.
  2. A revealed number tells you how many mines touch that cell, including diagonals.
  3. Flag cells you are sure hold a mine so you do not reveal them by mistake.
  4. Chording a revealed number reveals all its unflagged neighbours once the right number of flags is placed around it.
  5. You win when every safe cell is revealed; revealing a mine ends the game.
  • Tap or click a covered cell to reveal it; right-click or long-press to flag it.
  • Tap a revealed number (or middle-click it) to chord its neighbours.
  • Toggle Flag mode in the toolbar to make taps place flags instead of revealing.
  • Arrow keys move between cells; Enter or Space reveals, F flags (Shift+F marks a question), C chords.
  • Escape pauses; Ctrl/⌘+Z undoes, Ctrl/⌘+N starts a new game, Ctrl/⌘+R restarts the same board.
  • Start from numbers along the edge of the revealed area, where fewer covered neighbours remain.
  • Zen mode offers a Hint button that highlights a forced safe cell or mine.
